Designing Custom Maps: A Powerful Tool for Real Estate Developers
As an advertising agency, we use graphic design to take complicated, confusing, and often boring information and make it interesting. One area where this is particularly important is map design. When used in conjunction with other marketing assets, custom maps can provide a unique and valuable way to showcase your project. A custom map can take what was once a collection architectural plans and satellite images and turn them into something people actually understand and enjoy looking at.
“High Point Preserve” and “Bridge at Turtle Creek”: Models for Multi-Family Marketing
Our first two projects to present, High Point Preserve and Bridge at Turtle Creek, are both multi-family apartment developments in Austin, TX. We were tasked with creating a comprehensive suite of marketing materials for both projects, including branding, a website, and various collateral pieces. To help potential residents navigate the properties, we developed custom maps for each unit and each community as a whole. These maps provided detailed information about amenities, floor plans, and surrounding areas, giving prospective tenants a clear understanding of what the development had to offer. The developer ended up printing a displaying a large print of this map in their leasing office.
“Shady Creek Estates” and “Waterfront on Park”: Selling Lots without a Real Estate Agent
Our next two projects are single-family developments in North Texas, selling one-acre lots. Both developers needed a website and on-site signage to help attract buyers without relying on traditional real estate agents. We created branding, websites, and marketing collateral for Shady Creek Estates and Waterfront on Park. To help potential buyers visualize the properties, we developed custom maps, drone footage, QR codes, and lead capture forms on the website. This comprehensive approach allowed the developers to field inquiries from interested buyers and builders.
Community Caring Center: A Map for a Cause
Our final project was a custom map designed for the Community Caring Center in North Texas. The map was displayed alongside other materials at a major fundraiser supporting the organization's new capital campaign. The agency was tasked with helping potential donors visualize the various renovations being proposed. By creating a detailed and visually appealing map, we were able to effectively communicate the impact of the renovations and inspire donations.
The Benefits of Custom Maps:
Visual Storytelling: Maps can tell a story about your project, highlighting key features and benefits.
Engagement: Interactive maps can engage potential buyers and encourage them to learn more.
Differentiation: Custom maps can help your project stand out from the competition.
Informational Value: Maps can provide valuable information about your project, such as location, amenities, and accessibility.
By incorporating custom maps into your marketing strategy, you can create a more compelling and effective campaign that drives results. If you're a real estate developer looking to take your marketing to the next level, consider working with an advertising agency that specializes in map design.
